These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Just My Type Android application and the justmytype.love website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use any member feature. You must provide an accurate date of birth when asked. Providing a false date of birth may result in restriction or closure of your account. If your account is restricted because a self-reported date of birth shows you as under 18, you may request an age correction through the appeal service described on the disabled-account screen and at justmytype.love/appeal.

2. The beta Service

Just My Type is currently offered as a controlled Android beta in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area. Features, availability, and eligibility criteria may change during the beta. We may limit, suspend, or end the beta at any time.

3. Accounts and security

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. One person may not operate accounts for another person.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, defame, or harm other members;
• send unsolicited commercial messages, scams, or sexually explicit content;
• misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions;
• scrape, copy, or collect other members' information;
• attempt to bypass eligibility, matching, moderation, or security controls;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may investigate reports, restrict or close accounts, and remove content that violates these Terms or creates risk for members.

5. Member content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as your profile photo, alias, and messages). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content only as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for the content you share and must have the right to share it.

6. Matching, Heartbeat, and Matchprint

The Service uses onboarding questions (Heartbeat), eligibility requirements (Heart Stoppers), and a personality model (Matchprint) to suggest introductions. Compatibility scores and explanations are guidance only. We do not guarantee matches, compatibility, safety, or relationship outcomes. You are responsible for your own decisions and interactions with other members, online and offline.

7. Safety

Meet in public, tell someone you trust about your plans, and never share financial information with other members. Use the report and block controls when something feels wrong. The Service is not an emergency service.

8. Account restriction and closure

We may restrict or close accounts that violate these Terms, that fail eligibility requirements, or that create risk for other members. You may close your account and request deletion of your data as described at justmytype.love/account-deletion. An age-restricted account may use the appeal service to request an age correction.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by the operator of Just My Type and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY MATCH OR COMPATIBILITY RESULT WILL BE ACCURATE OR LEAD TO ANY PARTICULAR OUTCOME.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR OF JUST MY TYPE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms. When we make a material change, we will publish a new version with a new effective date and may require you to accept the new version before continuing to use member features. Each published version remains available at its versioned URL.
